Send test communication to yourself
Check the content and the structure of your communication message before you send them to your members by using "Send Test" button:
- This capability is available only for SMS and E-mail actions.
- The SMS can be sent only to a phone number that has the same country code as the business. For example, for a business set up in the US (country code 1), you will be able to send test SMS only to a US mobile provider number.
- Add your phone number and e-mail to your Hub user, so that the system can auto-populate it for you (Go to User Option drop down on the Hub header and select “My Hub Preferences”).
- The SMS can be sent only to members registered in the business, allowing marketing communication.

|Send SMS||Enter the SMS message. The SMS service provider and sender name is set from Operation > Settings > External Services and the country code must set from Operation > Settings > App Settings.
NOTE: If the message is over a certain length, you'll be charged more than once for each message. You'll be charged only once for messages which contain less than 160 basic characters (i.e., excluding special characters). When estimating the length, take into account the unsubscribe text and dynamic text (like member's name) if you added it.
|Send Email||Select the email template that you created from Content > Email Templates. The following additional fields are shown but cannot be edited here:
|Register Member||Register members who aren't automatically registered by submitting the registration form. For example, register members that successfully pay for their membership. Make sure to specify that the rule applies also to Pending members (and not just registered). Learn more|
|Update Membership Details||For programs that use expiration, extend a membership expiration date when a member registers/renews their membership (for example, when they purchase their membership).|
|Tag Member||Enter the tag (only one tag). To add multiple tags, you need to add multiple actions.|
|Untag Member||Enter the tag (only one tag). To add multiple tags, you need to add multiple actions.|
Give members a fixed number of points, or a custom number of points depending on their purchase. You can specify the custom number in 2 ways:
For custom number of points, you can also specify different point accumulation for different items, exclude certain items or means of payment from accumulating, and the wallet if a business uses multiple wallets (i.e., both points and credit).
|Send Benefit||Select which gift or punch card to send.|
|Punch a Punch Card||Select which punch card to punch.
NOTE: In Simple Mode, each punch card will be punched a fixed number of times (only once by default). Use Repeat Mode to provide punches to the member each time they buy the eligible item (for example, if they buy 2 coffees, they'll get 2 punches).
|Export Event||Send data to 3rd party systems, that can then use the data to perform actions externally. For example, inform a CRM when a new member joins the program.|
